Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 28 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dallas Riley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Worner! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Worner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Riley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Worner looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Riley! Riley is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Worner tries to advance to mount but can't. Riley manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Worner seems to be working for a kimura but Riley defends the submission attempt. Riley keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Worner tries to pass to full mount but Riley defends it. Riley is controlling Worner's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley wants to get back to his feet. Riley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Worner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Riley is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Riley uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Worner shoots in but Riley avoids the takedown attempt easily. Worner has a takedown stuffed. Dallas Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Worner. Riley drives through and clinches with Worner against the cage.

Worner looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Riley wants to sweep but no luck. Worner wants to pass the guard but Riley is keeping the position. Riley looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Riley keeping full guard, as Worner tries to pass. Riley pulls Worner in to control the position. Riley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Worner trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Riley manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Riley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley sitting in guard here, content to control. Riley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Riley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Riley landing with the ground and pound. Riley slips nicely into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Worner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Riley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Worner wants to control but Riley is keeping busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Riley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Worner tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Riley is in Worner's guard. Worner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Riley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Riley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Riley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Worner is keeping the position for now. Riley wants to stand but Worner has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Worner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Riley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Worner is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Riley, into his guard. Worner won't allow Riley to sweep him here. Riley wants to stand and escape but Worner is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Riley throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Austin Worner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Riley as Worner shoots in. Riley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Worner was covering up waiting for the punch and Riley finishes the takedown easily into guard. Riley sitting in guard here, content to control. Riley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Riley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Riley throws an elbow that misses. Worner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Riley's guard. Nice move by Worner!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Worner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Riley is keeping the position for now. Riley lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Worner keeping full guard, as Riley tries to pass. Riley would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Riley's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Riley seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Worner for as long as he can get away with. Riley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Worner is keeping the position for now. Riley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Riley passes Worner's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Worner avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Riley. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Riley controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dallas Riley dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Riley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Worner's guard. Riley is pushing down on Worner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Worner is fighting to maintain full guard but Riley has managed to sneak the leg through. Worner is looking to control Riley's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Worner avoid being mounted? Riley controlling the action here. Dallas Riley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Riley throwing shots but Worner is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, if Riley is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Worner is trying to maintain the position but Riley is very close to passing his half guard. Riley throws a strike but Worner avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Worner being controlled here, momentarily. Riley continues to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Riley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Worner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Worner can't do much from the bottom here. Riley sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Worner is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Riley stands up. Riley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Worner's guard. Riley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Worner swivels though and keeps the full guard. Riley has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Riley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Worner can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Riley controls the pace. Worner trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Riley stands up and waves to Worner to follow him. Worner with a lazy takedown attempt and Riley counters by clinching up. Riley misses with a knee strike.
Riley gets a trip takedown into half guard. Riley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Riley wants to pass the guard but Worner is defending well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Worner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! Dallas Riley showed his dominance in that final round. Well Riley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
