Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mati Krol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mati Krol has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mati Krol!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fred Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Jackson does it's job there.
Jackson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Krol counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Krol.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krol controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jackson is working an open guard so Krol takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Krol has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jackson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jackson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Krol back to the cage. Jackson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jackson lands a nice shot that snaps Krol's head back.
Jackson misses with an uppercut.
Jackson digs a good body shot into Krol's ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Krol shoots in but no luck this time.
Some wild striking there from Jackson.
Jackson throws a jab when Krol was well out of range.

Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Krol moves away.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Krol, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jackson throws a one two combo.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Krol.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mati Krol. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson misses with a double jab.

and Krol counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Jackson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Krol throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Krol wants to pass to mount but Jackson is defending the position.
Krol works his way into side control.

Krol is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Krol has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Krol tries for a kimura but Jackson is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Krol connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jackson some visible discomfort.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson is trying to improve his position.
Krol working the ground and pound.

Krol thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Krol will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Krol controls the position.
Krol lands a nice forearm strike.
Jackson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Krol tries for a kimura but Jackson is defending well.
Jackson is trying to control Krol's posture but Krol avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Krol creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Jackson struggling a bit here.
Krol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Krol tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krol has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Krol is working to tighten his grip on Jackson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jackson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Krol is really squeezing tight and eventually Jackson passes out! Krol breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Mati Krol!
Mati Krol seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
