Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raven Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Muhah Med!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Med scores with a nice body kick.
Austin shoots in looking for a takedown. Med tries to sprawl out of it but Austin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Med manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Med shoots in but no luck this time.
Austin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Med tries to get to full guard but Austin has control of the leg.
Med has a hand on Austin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Austin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Austin prevents Med from getting the reversal.
Austin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Med's face.
Austin trying to control but Med is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Austin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Med is surviving well by controlling Austin's body position as best he can.
Austin wants to control the pace but Med is squirming around nicely.
Med is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Austin tries to control but Med wriggling away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Med can do anything to dispel that myth.
Med reaches up to try and control the position but Austin seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Med rolls and tries to escape and now Austin has his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Med is covering up but some of the strikes from Austin are getting through and doing damage.
Med rolls, trying to escape but Austin keeps control of the position.
Austin patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Med tries to escape the position.
Med won't enjoy being in this position. Austin looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Med is tapping - it's over boys! Austin picks up the submission victory!
