Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Matsuo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McCarthy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Chamillionaire - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuo slips a jab and a cross from McCarthy.

It looks like Damian Matsuo has been cut.

McCarthy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Matsuo.
Matsuo is still on wobbly legs! Can McCarthy finish him?

Matsuo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McCarthy to score an easy takedown into full guard.

McCarthy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McCarthy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McCarthy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Matsuo. Matsuo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

McCarthy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Matsuo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Matsuo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McCarthy. That did some damage!
