Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Gower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mister Mariachi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mister Mariachi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mister Mariachi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gower rushes Mariachi and presses him up against the cage.
Gower lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mariachi backwards.

Gower definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mariachi tries to score a body lock takedown but Gower shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Mariachi's coach down at Tokyo Fitness & Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mariachi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mariachi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gower creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Mariachi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That has opened up Mister Mariachi's cut even more.

Gower creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Mariachi with a big uppercut! Mariachi tries to clinch up but Gower pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Mariachi to the mat! Mariachi covers up and Gower unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
