Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Woodrow Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Woodrow Walter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens moves into the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Walter - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Stevens manages to break the clinch.
Walter tries to clinch up but Stevens circles away and keeps his distance.
Walter doesn't manage to clinch there - Stevens circles away.
Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Walter throws a counter high kick but Stevens was just alert enough to avoid it.
Stevens shoots and misses
and Walter counters with a two punch combo.
Walter tries to clinch there but Stevens circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevens circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stevens looks for a takedown but Walter sprawls well.
Walter is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Stevens.

Stevens closes the distance and clinches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Walter.
Walter keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stevens's efforts to push away.
Walter managing to block the knees to the body from Stevens.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Walter prevents the takedown attempt.
Woodrow Walter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Stevens.
Stevens is trying to break the clinch but Walter is controlling him.

Walter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stevens tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Walter stays in close to Stevens's body and controls the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Walter distracts Stevens with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stevens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Walter ducks under a wild hook from Stevens.
A head kick misses from Stevens.
Walter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stevens.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Woodrow Walter dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Walter drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Stevens is letting Walter control him for a moment.

Walter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stevens has escaped the position, nice work there.

Walter decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stevens, up you get!

Walter slips a jab and a cross from Stevens.
Stevens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Walter moves into the clinch.

Walter is trying to break the clinch but Stevens has him pressed against the cage.
Walter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Walter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Walter lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Walter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stevens can do to turn this around?
Stevens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stevens shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walter as he jumps to the side.
Walter appears to be looking for a big counter.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stevens trying to stall but Walter improves his position.
Walter has Stevens pressed against the cage, preventing Stevens from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Walter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Walter manages to break the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Stevens tries to bum rush Walter with a series of wild strikes but Walter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stevens blocks a head kick by Walter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Woodrow Walter dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Stevens tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Walter swivels and escapes.
Stevens shoots in for a double leg but Walter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Walter half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Walter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Walter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Walter tries to clinch up but Stevens circles away and keeps his distance.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Stevens jumps guard but Walter stands there with Stevens around his waist. Stevens gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Walter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Walter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Walter has control of Stevens's left arm, preventing Stevens from doing any damage.

Walter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Walter is stinking the place up with his stalling.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Stevens looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Walter is fending him off so far but Stevens persists. Nope, Walter circles away and we're back to standing.

Walter drives through and clinches with Stevens against the cage.

Walter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Woodrow Walter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stevens is looking to clinch.

Stevens dives in for a single leg takedown but Walter sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nick Stevens has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Woodrow Walter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Walter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
