Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Dean Rockefeller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelly Haynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rockefeller comes to the cage accompanied by Kreator - Violent Revolution. Haynes has chosen Nelly - The Champ as his entrance music. Nelly Haynes has the better chin. 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelly Haynes! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockefeller jabbing away but nothing is landing. Haynes's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rockefeller connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Haynes scrambles back to his feet. Haynes moves out of range of the body kick. Haynes throws a leg kick and Rockefeller counters with a thumping low kick. Nice body kick there by Rockefeller. Haynes blocks the body kick.
Haynes tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rockefeller counters with a body kick. Haynes shoots for a double leg takedown but Rockefeller sprawls well. He's pushed Haynes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Haynes tries to close the distance and clinch but Rockefeller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Haynes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rockefeller counters with a body kick. Rockefeller bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Haynes tries to shoot in for a takedown. Rockefeller takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Haynes slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rockefeller throwing strikes but missing. Rockefeller stands up over Haynes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Haynes wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rockefeller is now in half guard. Rockefeller seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Haynes blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rockefeller.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haynes slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Haynes pulls Rockefeller in close to prevent any damage. Rockefeller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rockefeller lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Haynes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rockefeller is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Haynes controls Rockefeller momentarily but Rockefeller frees himself. Haynes keeping moving, preventing Rockefeller from controlling successfully. Haynes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rockefeller is one step ahead there. Rockefeller working some strikes from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Dean Rockefeller dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rockefeller throws a leg kick which misses Haynes's front leg but catches the back leg as Haynes tries to avoid it. Nelly Haynes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Haynes throws a front kick aimed at Rockefeller's knee but Rockefeller avoids it well. Rockefeller throwing a counter right hand but Haynes manages to avoid it. The fight stays on the outside here - Haynes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Rockefeller is looking to land body kicks. Haynes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Haynes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rockefeller. Haynes darts in trying to clinch and Rockefeller counters with a straight right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Haynes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rockefeller. Rockefeller obviously looking to wear him down.

That kick from Rockefeller tenderised Haynes's leg. Haynes is trying to keep his angry face on. Rockefeller throws out a powerful jab. Rockefeller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Haynes moves away. Rockefeller lunges at Haynes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Haynes's hand.
Haynes is rocked! Haynes wants to slow Rockefeller down by chopping away at his legs. Haynes rushes Rockefeller and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Haynes with an attempt at a knee that misses.

We're back to striking at a distance. James Dean Rockefeller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nelly Haynes. Rockefeller slips under a jab. Haynes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rockefeller pinned against the cage. Rockefeller gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Haynes is breathing heavily. Haynes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rockefeller is fending him off so far but Haynes persists. Nope, Rockefeller circles away and we're back to standing. Haynes avoids a kick to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Haynes takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rockefeller throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Haynes lands a leg kick that knocks Rockefeller off balance momentarily. Haynes doesn't manage to clinch there - Rockefeller circles away.
Haynes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rockefeller cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Haynes goes for a double leg but Rockefeller avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rockefeller continues to drive forward. Rockefeller tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Haynes manages to circle out of the way. Haynes gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Rockefeller gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Haynes is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Dean Rockefeller! James Dean Rockefeller retains his welterweight title! After winning the bout, James Dean Rockefeller thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Nelly Haynes was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm sorry I let down my fans, but I'm more sorry to the next guy I'm fighting cause I'ma bringing down the hell on him to make up for today'.
