Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yong Sellers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joe Kosek! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Kosek. Kosek is trying to move to mount but Sellers reverses beautifully and ends up in Kosek's guard. Sellers wants to control from the top but Kosek keeps moving. Kosek wants to sweep here but Sellers controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kosek wants to get back to his feet but Sellers is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sellers being controlled here momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kosek is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sellers is controlling him. Kosek wants to improve his position but instead Sellers has moved into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sellers prevents Kosek from standing back up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sellers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kosek keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kosek throws a combination. Sellers tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Sellers is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kosek.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kosek drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sellers is rocked! Sellers takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Oh Sellers is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Kosek wants to stand but Sellers is controlling his arm. Kosek is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sellers's shoulder. That is not cool. Sellers prevents Kosek from improving position. Sellers struggling a bit here. Kosek content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kosek tries to move to mount but Sellers blocks the move with his legs. Sellers being controlled for a moment. Sellers seems to have got his legs back now. Kosek tries to stand but Sellers is controlling his head. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sellers wants to control but Kosek postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kosek content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kosek wants to stand but Sellers is controlling his arm. Sellers is trying to improve his position. Kosek decides to stand back up. Kosek steps back and let's Sellers get back to his feet. Sellers slips a jab and a cross from Kosek.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kosek closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sellers did well to prevent Kosek getting side control. Kosek looks winded! Kosek not doing much here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kosek seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kosek wanted to stand there but Sellers had control of the position. Sellers preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kosek is looking to stand up but Sellers won't let him. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Sellers trying to keep a closed guard but Kosek is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Sellers enables Kosek to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sellers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sellers keeping full guard, as Kosek tries to pass. Kosek not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kosek has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kosek wants to stand but Sellers has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kosek is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kosek wants to stand but Sellers has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sellers keeping full guard, as Kosek tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kosek's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kosek wanted to stand there but Sellers had control of the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kosek lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kosek ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Sellers shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kosek unleashes a big counter combination but Sellers bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Sellers tries to sprawl but Kosek drives through with a takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kosek is controlling the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sellers wants to control but Kosek is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kosek is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Sellers reverses the position - he's now on top in Kosek's guard. Sellers stands up over Kosek, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kosek is looking to stand back up but Sellers counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kosek. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Kosek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Sellers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kosek gets in close and instigates a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Kosek's face as he tries to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sellers gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Joe Kosek has got the better of the ground game so far. Kosek wants to get back to full guard but Sellers has passed into side control. Sellers tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sellers throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kosek is trying to buck Sellers off. Kosek tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Sellers presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kosek can't escape the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kosek can do anything to dispel that myth. Sellers unloads with some shots from mount but Kosek bucks and avoids them well.
Sellers misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kosek tries to lock up and control but Sellers gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kosek tries to buck Sellers off but he can't manage it. Sellers looking to control but Kosek is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kosek can't escape the position.
Kosek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sellers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kosek is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sellers thowing shots but they're missing. Yong Sellers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Joe Kosek is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kosek really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Yong Sellers showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kosek has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
