Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Bwarnt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shan Jager! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jager tries to clinch up but Bwarnt circles away and keeps his distance. Jager throws a lazy head kick and Bwarnt counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bwarnt looks to land a left hand but Jager moved out of range nicely. Jager tries to clinch but Bwarnt moves out of range. Bwarnt has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Beast Playground in the buildup to the fight. A head kick by Jager misses and Bwarnt counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jager! Bwarnt lets Jager back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Jager is rocked!
It looks like Shan Jager has been cut. Bwarnt keeps the fight on the outside. Jager is still on wobbly legs! Can Bwarnt finish him? Shan Jager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Bwarnt throws a right hand that Jager ducks under and follows up with a left that Jager also avoids with ease. Bwarnt gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bwarnt works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Bwarnt just leaning against Jager, taking a breather. Bwarnt has Jager pressed against the cage, preventing Jager from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Jager seems to have recovered his senses. Jager is trying to push Bwarnt away but Bwarnt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Bwarnt manages to break the clinch.
Bwarnt loads up on a big right hand but Jager slips the punch. Jager tries to clinch there but Bwarnt circles away.
Jager thuds a left hand into Bwarnt's body. Jager moves in looking to clinch but Bwarnt pushes him off. Jager tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bwarnt swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jager throws a head kick that Bwarnt semi-blocks.
Jager doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bwarnt makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Jager throws a head kick that misses. Bwarnt appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Bwarnt fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bwarnt scores with a nice strike. Jager wants to clinch but Bwarnt slips to the side and Bwarnt counters with a big right hand! Oh Jager is in trouble here! Bwarnt follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lee Bwarnt!
