Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Muraki Tunamoto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, KJ Talley! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Talley throws a body kick that misses. Tunamoto lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tunamoto has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Talley throws a push kick but Tunamoto slaps the foot to one side. Tunamoto throws a right hand that misses
and Talley counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Tunamoto moves into the clinch. Tunamoto throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Nice body punch from Tunamoto. Talley prevents a body shot from Tunamoto. Talley lands a hook to the side of the head. Tunamoto manages to break the clinch.
Tunamoto tries to clinch but Talley is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tunamoto rushes Talley and presses him up against the cage. Tunamoto's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A short right hand to the side of the head by Talley. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tunamoto blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tunamoto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Talley misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tunamoto tries to clinch but Talley moves out of range. Talley tries to work over Tunamoto's front leg with a kick but Tunamoto checks it. Talley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tunamoto's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Talley connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tunamoto scrambles back to his feet. Tunamoto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Talley was well out of range. Poor timing from Tunamoto. Talley with a hook. Talley scores with a hook to the body. Tunamoto takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tunamoto instigates a clinch. Tunamoto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tunamoto takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Tunamoto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Talley can pounce on him.

Tunamoto staying out of range there. Donk. Talley catches Tunamoto right on the button with a cross.
Tunamoto is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Talley cracks Tunamoto with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). KJ Talley! KJ Talley is the new middleweight champion! In his post fight interview, KJ Talley started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
