Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grant Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris comes into the arena with The Night by Kromestatik blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Grant Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Gordon Freeman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris looks to land a combination but Freeman avoids it well.
Freeman misses with a wild body shot.
A counter left hand to the body from Norris misses its target.
Norris avoids a punch combination nicely.
Norris appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Norris throws a head kick but Freeman moves out of range.
Despite the aggression on Freeman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Freeman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Norris throws a body shot but no joy.
Freeman looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Norris lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Norris.
It looks like Gordon Freeman has been cut.
Freeman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Norris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Norris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Norris throws a wild body kick that Freeman sees coming a mile off.
Freeman is looking for the big counter here.
Norris displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Freeman throws a left and a right that both miss
and Norris counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Freeman throws a right hand that Norris ducks under and follows up with a left that Norris also avoids with ease.
Freeman blocks a head kick by Norris.
Norris throws a leg kick but Freeman sees it coming and moves out of range.
Norris fails to land with a series of punches.
Norris does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A punch combination from Freeman misses.
It looked like Norris was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Freeman misses with a kick to the body
and Norris cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Norris throws a leg kick
and Freeman counters with a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Freeman blocks a head kick by Norris.
A little jabbing left from Freeman on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Freeman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Norris.
Freeman misses with a right hand
and Norris counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Norris fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Norris falls off balance throwing a combination
and Freeman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Freeman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Norris went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Norris cracks Freeman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Freeman misses with a right hand
and Norris counters with a good, hard body kick but Freeman shrugs it off.
Freeman avoids the head kick by Norris.
Norris throws a head kick that Freeman semi-blocks.
Norris wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Norris explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Freeman looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Norris lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Freeman gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Norris points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Freeman wakes up just in time to hear Norris thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Grant Norris!
Grant Norris looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Every win, I get closer to achieving my goal...being recognized as what I am. What am I? I'm the Best in the World. '.
