Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jackjan Tio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marat Sanayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackjan Tio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Marat Sanayev!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanayev misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanayev throws a jab when Tio was well out of range.
Tio fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sanayev sprawls well initially but Tio persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sanayev is refusing to be controlled, as Tio sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanayev pushes Tio off looking to stand but Tio dives back in and keeps control.
Tio wants to free his trapped foot but Sanayev is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Tio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sanayev is looking to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tio wants to control but Sanayev is keeping him busy.
Sanayev tries to kick Tio off but Tio keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sanayev shoots in but Tio avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Sanayev works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Sanayev has gone for a leg lock! Tio slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sanayev's guard.
Sanayev wants to stand and escape but Tio is having none of it.
Tio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Sanayev is looking to stand back up but Tio counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sanayev.

Tio takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Tio is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sanayev is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tio tries to pass to full mount but Sanayev defends it.
Sanayev tries to kick Tio off but Tio keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sanayev is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tio dodges the punch combination from Sanayev.
Sanayev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tio sprawls well. Tio wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanayev gets slowly back to his feet.
Sanayev throws a right hand that Tio ducks under and follows up with a left that Tio also avoids with ease.

Jackjan Tio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marat Sanayev.
Sanayev cracks the inside of Tio's front leg.

Sanayev looks to land a combination but Tio avoids it well.
Marat Sanayev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Tio counters with a left and a right that stings Sanayev.
Sanayev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Tio shoots in but no luck this time.
Despite the aggression on Sanayev's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Sanayev throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sanayev tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sanayev has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Sanayev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tio circles away quickly and effectively.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanayev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sanayev fails to land with a series of punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanayev throws a series of punches but Tio avoids them all with ease.
Tio shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sanayev manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Tio prevents Sanayev from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jackjan Tio will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sanayev.
Sanayev clinches up against the cage.
Tio wants to take the fight to the mat but Sanayev manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Sanayev jumps into guard, dragging Tio to the mat.
Sanayev is looking to stand up but Tio isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sanayev slaps away a takedown attempt from Tio, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Sanayev keeps the fight on the outside.
Sanayev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tio defends well and Sanayev ends up having to push Tio into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Sanayev swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sanayev has closed the distance and engaged Tio in a clinch.
Sanayev breaks the clinch.
Sanayev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tio.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jackjan Tio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tio on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sanayev. Sanayev obviously looking to wear him down.
Sanayev tries to bum rush Tio with a series of wild strikes but Tio uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tio darts in looking for a takedown but Sanayev gets double underhooks and turns Tio into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tio showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sanayev.
Sanayev lands with a right and another and another! Tio is in big trouble! Sanayev lands again and this time it's lights out for Tio! A quality knockout there for Sanayev.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Marat Sanayev!
Marat Sanayev decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
