The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanislav misses with a double jab.
Gene misses with a leg kick
and Gene takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stanislav moves out of range as Gene strikes.
Stanislav throws a nice inside leg kick.
Stanislav cracks Gene with a right hand to the side of the head.
Stanislav lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gene circles away quickly and effectively.
Gene misses with an uppercut. Stanislav saw that one coming.

A nice leg kick lands there from Gene.
Gene will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Gene throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Stanislav throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gene tries to keep at a distance but Stanislav has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stanislav breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stanislav sizes up Gene with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gene throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Stanislav drops Gene with a left and a right! Oh, Gene is hurt - Stanislav dives into side control looking to finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
