Star comes into the arena with Octopus's garden blaring out of the sound system. Bingo Star has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

17 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Moneybags! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moneybags thuds his right hand into Star's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Star throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moneybags tries to land a front kick but Star steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Star moves into the clinch. Moneybags is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Star is defending well for now. Moneybags gets through Star's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Moneybags looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Star escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moneybags misses with a hook from the clinch. Star drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moneybags pulls his leg out and moves away.

That was a close round but I would say that Bingo Star will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Moneybags's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Moneybags swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Star showed some decent athleticism there. Star thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moneybags's head. Moneybags manages to get to full guard.

Star has a closed guard, preventing Moneybags from standing up. Moneybags wants to control from the top but Star keeps moving. Moneybags is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Moneybags is working Star over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moneybags seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Moneybags postures up.
Moneybags has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Star is proving hard to escape from. Star will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Star looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Moneybags gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Star darts in trying to clinch and Moneybags counters with a lovely shot to the body. Star lands a jab to the head.

Star's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Crunch! Moneybags slams his shin into Star's torso. A looping hook to the body misses from Star. Moneybags does a little dance to reset his feet. Star takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Moneybags clinches up against the cage. Star blocks a punch to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Star working aggressively here.
