Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaime Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Denson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denson has chosen The good the bad and the ugly as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Wesley Denson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Wesley Denson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Alvarez.
Alvarez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Denson throws a right hand that Alvarez ducks under and follows up with a left that Alvarez also avoids with ease.
Alvarez misses with a few strikes there.
Alvarez throws a hook to the side of Denson's head but Denson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Alvarez checks a leg kick.
Denson throws a series of punches but Alvarez moves out of range.
Alvarez dives in and grabs Denson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Denson pushes down on Alvarez's head and hops out.
Denson looks to land a combination but Alvarez avoids it well.
Alvarez attempts a counter takedown but Denson avoids it well and moves away.

Denson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alvarez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alvarez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've been hearing that Alvarez has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Alvarez forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Alvarez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Alvarez throwing shots but Denson is blocking nicely.
Denson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Alvarez is controlling the pace.
Alvarez is keen to just control but Denson is a slippery customer.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Denson tries to kick Alvarez off in order to stand up. Alvarez Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Denson bucks up and tries to throw Alvarez off but instead Alvarez has got his back!
Alvarez has good solid back control here.
Denson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Denson takes a big shot to the side of the head.

Denson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Alvarez cracks Denson with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Denson from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Denson covers up after that shot from Alvarez.

Alvarez has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Denson is defending well but eventually Alvarez manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Denson has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
