Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Rainey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miquel Costas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Rainey looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Costas.
Rainey looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Costas misses with a wild combination.
Costas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rainey circles away quickly and effectively.
Costas scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Costas - that will leave a mark!
Rainey takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rainey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Costas throws a sloppy head kick and Rainey moves out of range easily.
Costas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Costas connects with the punch.
Costas moves in looking to clinch but Rainey pushes him off.
Costas works over Rainey's head and body with a nice combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Rainey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rainey.

Rainey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Costas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rainey has managed to get both his arms back between Costas's legs - danger averted.
Costas wants to stand and escape but Rainey is having none of it.
Costas has his hands on Rainey's head, controlling the position.
Costas throws a couple of heel strikes.

Costas thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Rainey is posturing up here but Costas has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Rainey tries to roll out but it's too tight and Rainey has to tap! Slick submission there by Costas!
