Tynkkynen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cow herd - Fields. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Aaron Newton! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tynkkynen misses with an uppercut. Newton saw that one coming. Tynkkynen takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Newton lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Tynkkynen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Rauno Tynkkynen has been cut. Tynkkynen tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Newton ducks under a wild hook from Tynkkynen. Newton connects with a solid leg kick. Tynkkynen lands a jab. Decent striking displayed by Newton there. We've been hearing reports that Tynkkynen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Tynkkynen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Newton pinned against the cage. Newton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tynkkynen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Newton. Newton looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Newton jabs Tynkkynen to the body, keeping him at a distance. Tynkkynen moves out of range as Newton throws a body kick.
Newton leaves Tynkkynen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Newton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newton throws a head kick that misses. Newton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tynkkynen was well out of range. Poor timing from Newton. It looked like Tynkkynen was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Newton. Tynkkynen gets a double leg takedown into Newton's guard. Newton controls Tynkkynen momentarily but Tynkkynen frees himself. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Newton can do anything to dispel that myth. Newton tries to land a sweep but no joy. Newton working a defensive guard here.
Newton pulls Tynkkynen in close to his closed guard and prevents Tynkkynen from doing any damage or advancing position. Newton trying to keep a closed guard but Tynkkynen is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Newton is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tynkkynen wants to clinch up but Newton keeps it at a distance. Tynkkynen lands a jab to the nose. Tynkkynen takes a swing at Newton's ribcage but misses. Tynkkynen closes the distance looking to clinch and Newton counters with a lovely straight right hand! Newton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tynkkynen. Tynkkynen thuds his right hand into Newton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Newton throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tynkkynen. Aaron Newton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Newton slips under a jab from Tynkkynen. Newton moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Tynkkynen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Newton lands a brutal head kick. Tynkkynen looks out on his feet and Newton throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Aaron Newton! Aaron Newton retains his light heavyweight title! In his post fight interview, Aaron Newton started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
