Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mack Daddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spong has chosen The Cure - A Forest as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mack Daddy! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chance Spong! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spong shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Daddy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Daddy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice jab there from Daddy. Spong throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Daddy was covering up waiting for the punch and Spong finishes the takedown easily into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spong landing some decent shots from guard. Spong wants to pass the guard but Daddy is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spong slips nicely into half guard. Spong is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Spong is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daddy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Spong. Spong is trying to control the action in half guard but Daddy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Daddy is looking to escape. Spong trying to control from half guard but Daddy is working away. Spong drops an elbow to the side of Daddy's head. Daddy is staying active underneath Spong, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Spong looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Spong works his way into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Spong. Daddy is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Spong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. A nice elbow there by Spong. Spong takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Daddy's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Daddy in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Daddy is rocked! Whack. That's a big, big shot from Spong! Daddy is out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chance Spong! Chance Spong retains his lightweight title! Chance Spong bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
