Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rumina Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sato comes to the cage accompanied by Call to prayer of islam. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Rumina Sato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick James!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
James lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

James has taken the fight to the clinch.
James told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Sato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
James connects with a leg kick. Sato looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
James takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
James misses with an attempted mid kick.
James moves out of range as Sato strikes.

James closes the distance and pushes Sato back into the cage.

Sato tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Sato.

James was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Sato uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before James has time to react.

James uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sato.

James rushes Sato and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sato lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt James or not.
James throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sato blocks it with crossed arms.
Sato scores with a nice hook to the head.
James creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sato's defenses.
Sato has James pushed against the cage.
Sato works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sato creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Sato pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sato takes a swing at James's ribcage but misses.

James closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sato's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sato avoids the head kick by James.

James clinches up with Sato and pushes him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

James swings wildly with an uppercut but Sato uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sato escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sato blocks a head kick by James.
James looks to land a right hand but Sato moved out of range.

James closes the distance and clinches.
A short body shot lands from Sato as the two fighters clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Rick James will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Sato feints and then cracks James's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow James down.

James misses with a few strikes there.

James takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

James connects with a nasty looking knee right to Sato's face.

James is rocked!
Sato throws a low kick but James moves out of range easily.
James takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sato cracks James with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
James is still on wobbly legs! Can Sato finish him?

James's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

James looks up at the clock. Bad move! Sato lands a right hand from hell, dropping James. Sato pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rumina Sato!
As Rumina Sato got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Remember, a vote for islam is a vote for retardation.'.
