Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Feivish Hershel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ritchie McLendon!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLendon dives in and grabs Hershel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hershel pushes down on McLendon's head and hops out.
Hershel fires out a quick counter leg kick but McLendon just manages to avoid it.

Hershel looking to score a takedown here. McLendon is defending well but Hershel drives through and ends up in McLendon's guard.

Hershel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Hershel is looking to take a break and control but McLendon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hershel advances nicely into full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hershel tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Hershel lands a nice shot to the head.
McLendon wants to control but Hershel is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hershel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McLendon looks a forlorn figure.

McLendon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hershel lands a big elbow.
Hershel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McLendon's face.
Hershel lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McLendon hang on?
Hershel looking to control and managing it successfully.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McLendon is working to get back to half guard.
McLendon keeps trying to improve his position.
McLendon is in a horrible position here. Hershel smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hershel trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McLendon can't escape the position.
Hershel looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.


McLendon is rocked!

Hershel unloads with some vicious shots from mount and McLendon wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Hershel celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
