Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Detangelo Harmeski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Jon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonny Jon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Detangelo Harmeski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonny Jon! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harmeski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jon throws a nice looking combination but Harmeski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Harmeski jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Harmeski drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Harmeski showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jon.
A slow jab from Jon misses its intended target. A combination from Jon does no damage. Jon throws a series of punches but Harmeski avoids them all with ease. Harmeski slips under a jab. Jon tries to bum rush Harmeski with a series of wild strikes but Harmeski uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jon tries to clinch there but Harmeski circles away.
Harmeski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jon throws a right hand that Harmeski ducks under and follows up with a left that Harmeski also avoids with ease. Harmeski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Harmeski somewhat. Jon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jon misses with a double jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jon closes the distance and pushes Harmeski back into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Harmeski uses from the top position. Jon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harmeski is controlling him. Harmeski trying to move into half guard but instead Jon has managed to sweep!
Harmeski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jon on the ground. Jon stops Harmeski from standing up. Jon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Harmeski's guard. Jon throws a big right hand that misses. Jon is looking to work some ground and pound but Harmeski has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jon throws a big right hand that misses. Harmeski working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jon has passed into half guard!
Harmeski is breathing heavily. Harmeski trying to control from the bottom.
Jon wants to get back to his feet.
Jon moves nicely into side control. Jon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Harmeski to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jon throws a series of strikes that have Harmeski backpedaling.
A head kick misses from Harmeski. Some wild striking there from Jon.
Jon throws a right hand that Harmeski ducks under and follows up with a left that Harmeski also avoids with ease. Harmeski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And Jon tries to counter it with a takedown but Harmeski pushes his down on his head and steps out. Jon has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Jonny Jon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Harmeski is rocked! Jon swinging wildly here.
Oh Harmeski is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jon throws a right and a left that Harmeski avoids nicely. Some wild striking there from Jon.
Harmeski seems to have got his legs back now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jon feints the counter takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Jon. Those never looked like landing. Jon fails in his attempt to clinch. Harmeski throws a big counter combination but Jon scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Jon scores with a shot to the body.
Jon throws a sloppy head kick and Harmeski moves out of range easily. Jon moves into the clinch. Jon gets control of Harmeski's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Jon has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Harmeski off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Jon throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jon lands a head kick!
Jon closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jon stops a takedown attempt from Harmeski.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Detangelo Harmeski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jon breaks from the clinch.
Jon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Harmeski doesn't seem bothered though. Jon throws a combination. Harmeski tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Harmeski moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonny Jon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Harmeski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jon.
Jon just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromHarmeski. We've been told by Harmeski's head coaches at Extreme MMA (7 Elites $250/week) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jon gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jon gets underhooks to prevent Harmeski's takedown attempt.
Harmeski wants a takedown but no success here.
Jon manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jon wants to get back to his feet but Harmeski passes into half guard.

Jon has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Harmeski has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Jon is pressed up against the cage. Harmeski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jon down to the mat. Jon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jon shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Harmeski eats them both and turns towards Jon to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jon closes the distance and clinches. Jon has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Harmeski clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jon has got one arm under Harmeski's chin. This could be trouble... Harmeski trying to control the other hand but Jon gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Harmeski has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jonny Jon!
