The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank slips a jab and a cross from Simpson.
Simpson looks for the body kick but Frank saw that one coming.
Frank misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Simpson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Frank manages to circle out of the way.

Frank lands with a right hand.
Frank lands a head kick. Simpson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Simpson tries to clinch there but Frank circles away.
Simpson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Frank takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Simpson rushes Frank and presses him up against the cage.
Simpson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Simpson lands a good knee to the midsection. Frank won't want to take too many of those.
Frank looks winded!
Simpson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Mir Frank has been cut.

Simpson scores with a nice hook to the head.
Frank takes an elbow to the forehead.
Simpson lands an elbow that stopped Frank in his tracks for a moment.
Simpson gets control of Frank's arms and successfully pulls guard. Simpson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Simpson wants to get back to his feet but Frank is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Simpson moves into range and clinches up with Frank.
Simpson blocks an uppercut.
Simpson successfully pulls guard.
Simpson is looking to stand up but Frank isn't so interested in that idea.
Frank trying to control but Simpson is working from the bottom.

Frank is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Frank is looking to advance position but Simpson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Simpson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Simpson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Frank's face.
Frank really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Simpson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Simpson lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Frank! Simpson sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Frank and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
