Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Brady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Opananu Milan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Brady could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Opananu Milan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruce Brady!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Opananu Milan!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Milan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brady paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Milan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Brady cracks Milan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Milan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brady, pushing him back against the cage.
Brady misses with a punch on the inside.
Brady wants a takedown.
Brady blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Brady has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Milan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Brady keeps control of the position as Milan tries to break free.
Brady has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Brady has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Milan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Milan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Brady has got his arm under Milan's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Milan has spun round into Brady's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Milan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Milan wanted to stand there but Brady had control of the position.

Brady has his foot on Milan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Milan works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Brady working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Milan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Milan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Milan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Milan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Milan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bruce Brady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brady shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Milan wants to improve his position but Brady is controlling well.
Milan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brady. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brady is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Milan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Brady works his way into full mount!

Brady is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Milan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Brady has hold of Milan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Milan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Milan tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Brady is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Milan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Milan shrugs it off.

Brady goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Milan is on top in guard.

Bruce Brady overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Brady stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Milan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brady passes Milan's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Brady is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Milan is just riding it out for now. Brady eventually gives up the hold.

Milan is trying to escape the mount but Brady keeps good control and instead manages to take Milan's back.

Brady looking to break Milan's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Milan remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Brady will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Bruce Brady decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
