Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Jorgenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Strazas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcelo Strazas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Johan Jorgenson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelo Strazas! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jorgenson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jorgenson tries to clinch up but Strazas circles away and keeps his distance. Johan Jorgenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jorgenson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Strazas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jorgenson's sensitive parts. Strazas connects with a crisp jab. Strazas fails to land the takedown. Jorgenson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Strazas. Strazas lands a head kick!
Jorgenson throws a hook but Strazas blocks it. Strazas is looking for the big counter here. Jorgenson misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jorgenson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Strazas counters with a flying knee. Nice. Strazas lands a head kick. Jorgenson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Strazas tries a head kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Strazas shoots in but Jorgenson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Strazas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Johan Jorgenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelo Strazas. Jorgenson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Strazas. That one must have hurt. Jorgenson stalks Strazas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Strazas's face. Strazas staggers backwards, shaken. Strazas throws a leg kick which misses Jorgenson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jorgenson tries to avoid it. Strazas lands a head kick!

A jab from Strazas does it's job there. Jorgenson drops Strazas with a beautiful combination! Strazas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jorgenson is looking for the KO!
Strazas is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. No joy there for Jorgenson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Strazas is still on wobbly legs! Can Jorgenson finish him? Jorgenson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Strazas ducks under a wild hook from Jorgenson. Strazas throws a counter combo. Jorgenson is breathing heavily. Strazas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jorgenson has time to react. Strazas lands a head kick!

and Jorgenson counters with a three punch combo that has Strazas backing up. Strazas nods at Jorgenson to acknowledge the strikes. Strazas has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Jorgenson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

An inside leg kick lands from Strazas. Jorgenson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Strazas counters with a stiff right hand. Strazas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strazas catches Jorgenson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jorgenson slaps away a takedown attempt from Strazas, before circling back to the center of the mat. Strazas throws a nice head kick!

and Strazas counters with a two punch combo. Jorgenson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Strazas avoids it really well and circles away. Strazas throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Strazas connects with a leg kick. Jorgenson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Strazas is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jorgenson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jorgenson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Strazas lands with a thumping leg kick.

Strazas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Strazas lands a front kick. Strazas connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Strazas. Jorgenson shrugs it off though. Jorgenson takes one on the button. Jorgenson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jorgenson tries to move into range but Strazas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jorgenson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Strazas's waist but Strazas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jorgenson off to one side. The fighters circling - Strazas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Strazas scores with a leg kick.
Jorgenson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Strazas swivels and escapes. Strazas throws a big counter head kick but Jorgenson avoids it with no problem. Strazas connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jorgenson. Jorgenson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Strazas scores with a head kick. Jorgenson tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Strazas showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jorgenson.

Jorgenson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick from Strazas lands but Jorgenson takes it in his stride. Strazas throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Strazas shoots in for a takedown but Jorgenson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Strazas works the jab nicely. Jorgenson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Jorgenson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Strazas.

Strazas is looking to slow Jorgenson down with leg kicks. Jorgenson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Strazas. Jorgenson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
