Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Yonsil Clanger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Austin Williams!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clanger connects with a looping right hand.

Williams shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Williams thows a huge punch but Clanger dodges it nicely.
We've been hearing good reports from Clanger's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Williams seems to be looking for submissions.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clanger is refusing to be controlled, as Williams sits in half guard.
Clanger manages to get to full guard.

Williams scoring with punches to the head and body.
Williams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Clanger has momentary wrist control but Williams slips an elbow through the middle.
Williams postures up in Clanger's guard and throws a big left but Clanger blocks it.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Clanger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Clanger is retaining full guard.

Clanger had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Williams defends it easily.

Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clanger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Clanger's legs - danger averted.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Williams lands a couple of elbows.
Williams stands up over Clanger, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Williams throws a big right hand that misses.
Williams working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Clanger's head.

Clanger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Clanger has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.

Williams throws an elbow that misses. Clanger uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Williams's guard. Nice move by Clanger!

Williams pulls Clanger in close to prevent any damage.

Clanger is sitting in close to Williams's body. Williams has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Clanger is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Clanger is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Williams.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Austin Williams!
