Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Neno Pejovsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pejovsky comes into the arena with Rick Ross feat. Young Jeezy - War Ready blaring out of the sound system. Reyes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bad House Music ('98 Dub Mix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Riel Dan Reyes was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Neno Pejovsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
35 - 11 - 2, fighting out of New York, Riel Dan Reyes! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pejovsky throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reyes's waist but Reyes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pejovsky off to one side. Reyes feints the counter takedown. Pejovsky jabs Reyes right on the nose. Reyes blinks but takes it well. Reyes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pejovsky, as that shot connected.
Reyes moves out of range of the leg kick from Pejovsky. A jab from Reyes misses. Reyes slips under a jab from Pejovsky. A big left from Reyes misses. Nice sprawl there from Reyes as Pejovsky shoots in. A left and a right from Reyes both land. Nice combination. Jab from Pejovsky. Reyes misses with a few strikes there.
Reyes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reyes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pejovsky connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Reyes moves out of range of the strikes. The fighters circling - Reyes throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A counter left hand to the body from Pejovsky misses its target. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Reyes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Pejovsky looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Reyes tries to move into range but Pejovsky moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Pejovsky slips under a jab. Pejovsky ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pejovsky staying out of range there.

Pejovsky with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Reyes to score with a decent uppercut. Pejovsky walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Reyes misses the jab. Pejovsky uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Reyes has time to react. Reyes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Pejovsky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pejovsky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reyes avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neno Pejovsky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pejovsky thumps Reyes with a low kick. Pejovsky shoots for a double leg takedown but Reyes sprawls well. He's pushed Pejovsky's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Reyes throws out a loose jab but Pejovsky uses good head movement to avoid it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reyes misses with a looping left. Reyes on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Pejovsky works Reyes's body with a nice hook. Pejovsky lands a nice looking body shot.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reyes wants to get back to striking at distance but Pejovsky won't allow it.
