Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Connor McGready!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Kim!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McGready changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kim slips a jab and a cross from McGready.
A jab from McGready finds it's way through Kim's defenses.
Kim misses with a takedown
and Kim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McGready tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kim was well out of range. Poor timing from McGready.

McGready tries to sprawl but Kim drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Kim is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McGready sees it coming and defends easily.
McGready is concentrating on defense, preventing Kim from advancing position.
McGready is trying to maintain the position but Kim is very close to passing his half guard.
Kim is trying to control the action in half guard but McGready is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kim throwing shots but McGready is blocking nicely.
McGready regains full guard. Nicely done.
Kim with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGready swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGready looking to control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kim engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kim connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Decent striking displayed by McGready there.
McGready lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A shot to the liver by McGready. Beautiful body shot.
McGready throws a right and a left that Kim avoids nicely.
Kim is trying hard to land a takedown here. McGready sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Connor McGready has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lee Kim.
McGready lands with a nice body punch.
McGready paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McGready fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kim looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kim will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The fighters circle momentarily. McGready darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McGready avoids a punch combination nicely.
McGready fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kim manages to avoid it.
Despite the aggression on Kim's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nice shot by McGready.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

McGready gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
McGready scores with a shot to the side of Kim's head.


Kim is rocked!
Kim is trying to pull guard but McGready turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
McGready gets through Kim's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
McGready pushes Kim back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
McGready stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
McGready working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kim is still on wobbly legs! Can McGready finish him?
Kim drops down looking for an ankle pick but McGready pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kim seems to have recovered his senses.
Kim will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McGready throws an overhand right that drops Kim like a sack of potatoes! McGready dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Connor McGready!
A relieved looking Connor McGready thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
