Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Will Boulks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bongo Drum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bongo Drum will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Will Boulks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bongo Drum! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drum lands a jab to the head.
Jab, jab by Drum - just one landing. Drum throws a jab when Boulks was well out of range. Drum paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Boulks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drum.
Drum misses with a hook. Boulks tries to counter with a takedown but Drum is quick to defend against it. Drum throws a hook but Boulks avoids it easily. Boulks feinted with a counter takedown. Drum throws a good cross that connects.

Drum is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Boulks. Boulks tries to counter with a takedown but Drum is quick to defend against it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drum looks to score with a jab to the body but Boulks is just out of range.

Boulks shoots in for a takedown but Drum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Drum scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Boulks fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Boulks. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boulks slips a straight right by Drum. Boulks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Drum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Drum misses with the combination.
Boulks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Drum. Drum might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Drum is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Boulks had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice takedown defense from Drum. No joy for Boulks on that attempt. Drum doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Boulks fails with a takedown attempt. Drum throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Drum takes the fight into the clinch. Boulks drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boulks gets a trip takedown into half guard. Boulks drops an elbow to the side of Drum's head. Boulks winds up and cracks Drum with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Boulks is looking to take a break and control but Drum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drum wants to get back to full guard. Drum is trying to control but can't.
Boulks looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drum is not content to let Boulks control the position. Drum blocking the ground and pound attempt from Boulks. Drum is refusing to be controlled, as Boulks sits in half guard. Drum wants to get back to full guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Drum can do anything to dispel that myth. Drum gets back to full guard.

Boulks won't allow Drum to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bongo Drum dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Drum wants it to stay on the feet. Drum has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Boulks is landing a low percentage of strikes. A left and a right from Drum both land. Nice combination. Drum looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boulks is fending him off so far but Drum persists. Nope, Boulks circles away and we're back to standing. Drum moves in looking to clinch but Boulks pushes him off. Boulks tries to counter with a takedown but Drum is quick to defend against it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boulks doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Drum swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Boulks working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Boulks controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boulks trying to control the position but Drum is working away. You can see the frustration on Drum's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Will Boulks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boulks wants to control but Drum is keeping him busy. Boulks connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Drum some visible discomfort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Boulks landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Boulks in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Drum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boulks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Drum is still trying to improve position. Boulks lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Drum wants to control but Boulks postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boulks in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Boulks is staying tight to Drum's torso, preventing him from escaping. Drum takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Drum tries to improve position but can't. Boulks lands an elbow. Boulks with the ground and pound but Drum regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Drum is staying active underneath Boulks, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Boulks scoring with strikes to the body and head. Drum is looking for a sweep. Boulks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boulks working over Drum with some ground and pound. Drum looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Drum avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Boulks. Drum trying to control here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Drum misses with a straight left. A lazy left from Drum finds it's target. Boulks ducks under a wild hook from Drum. Boulks feinted with a counter takedown. Boulks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Drum sprawls well. Drum wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boulks gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Will Boulks will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

and Boulks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Drum won't be happy with that. Drum tries to bench press Boulks off him but Boulks keeps the position. Boulks throws a strike aimed at the side of Drum's head but Drum avoids it well. Drum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boulks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boulks postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Drum tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Boulks cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Boulks lands a big elbow. Boulks in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Boulks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Drum is looking to escape. Boulks landing punches. Drum regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boulks lands with a punch from half guard. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Drum. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Boulks missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Boulks looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Drum with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Drum is looking to get back to full guard here but Boulks has managed to pass to side control instead. Drum wants to control but Boulks postures up. This has been an exciting period of action! Drum is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Boulks off and has taken his back! Boulks tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Boulks really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drum throws a strike there. Boulks manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Boulks moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Drum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boulks swivels though and keeps the full guard. Drum must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Boulks is trying to control the position but Drum postures up. Boulks throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Boulks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Drum preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Boulks is trying to control the position but Drum postures up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Drum's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Boulks trying to control the position.
Drum controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Drum got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boulks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Drum has managed to get both his arms back between Boulks's legs - danger averted. Drum trying to control but Boulks is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Will Boulks showed his dominance in that final round. I think Boulks has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
