Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Frampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shane Jackson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Frampton! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson forces Frampton back against the cage and clinches. Jackson can't break the clinch.
Frampton is trying to stall.
Frampton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Frampton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jackson smiles and moves away.
Frampton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Frampton shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Frampton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shane Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Frampton. Jackson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Frampton! Frampton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Frampton really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson controlling from the full mount. Frampton is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Jackson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Jackson gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Frampton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Frampton is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control. Jackson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frampton is not content to let Jackson control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jackson working away. Jackson working the head with strikes. Frampton is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jackson with a poor takedown and Frampton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Shane Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson is breathing heavily. Frampton lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frampton paws at him with a jab and circles away. Frampton shoots and misses and Jackson counters with a takedown into side control. Jackson trying to control the action but Frampton is working from the bottom. Frampton regains half guard. Frampton is not content to let Jackson control the position. Frampton trying to hold on to Jackson's head to control him but Jackson postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frampton is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson's back! Jackson has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Jackson rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Frampton wants to take a breather but Jackson is having none of it. Frampton is figuring out what he wants to do next. Jackson is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Jackson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Frampton gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jackson throws a big right hand that misses. Jackson postures up.
Jackson trying to control but Frampton is working from the bottom. Frampton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Jackson trying to control but Frampton is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frampton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard. Frampton is looking to sweep but instead, Jackson has passed into half guard.
Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Frampton is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold. Nice strikes from Jackson there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frampton is doing well to control the position and prevent Jackson from advancing to side control. Frampton makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Frampton. Frampton working for submissions but it's allowed Jackson to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson cracks Frampton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jackson stands up from mount. Strange move. Jackson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Frampton wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Frampton is defending well. Jackson wants to advance to full mount but Frampton doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Frampton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frampton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Frampton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Frampton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jackson's back instead. Jackson can't escape the position.

Jackson trying to control but not successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Jackson dominated that second round. That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jackson clinches up with Frampton and pushes him back against the cage. A short body shot lands from Jackson as the two fighters clinch.
Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jackson scores a takedown into full mount! Frampton avoids a series of strikes thrown by Jackson.
Frampton is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action. Jackson wants to control the action but instead Frampton gets a body lock and reverses into Jackson's guard! Nice work! Shane Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Frampton wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Frampton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Jackson pushes Frampton off and scrambles back to his feet.
Frampton fails with the takedown and Jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Frampton! Jackson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Frampton is surviving well by controlling Jackson's body position as best he can. Frampton tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Frampton is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Frampton and Jackson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Jackson working away. Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Frampton is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jackson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Frampton gets back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frampton working a defensive guard but Jackson passes into half guard.
Jackson moves into full mount! Frampton won't be happy about that! Frampton wants to control but Jackson is having none of it. Jackson trying to control but Frampton is having none of it. Peter Frampton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Frampton throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
