Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wm Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wm Hawkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Smith! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawkins bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Smith tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hawkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hawkins working the head with strikes. Hawkins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Smith sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Hawkins prevents Smith from standing back up.
Hawkins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hawkins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Hawkins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hawkins lands a nice short elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hawkins is on him like a limpet, forcing Smith back against the cage. Smith stops a takedown attempt from Hawkins.
Smith on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hawkins.
Hawkins jumps guard.
Hawkins keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass. Smith slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hawkins lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Smith holds on and takes a little breather. Hawkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hawkins has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted. Smith utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hawkins with a nice head shot there. Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hawkins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hawkins lands a couple of elbows. Hawkins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hawkins stopping the sweep attempt from Smith. Hawkins cracks Smith with a solid left hand. Hawkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hawkins is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hawkins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hawkins stopping the sweep attempt from Smith.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Smith tries to clinch but Hawkins moves out of range. Hawkins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard. Hawkins is thwarting Smith's attempts to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hawkins throwing shots but Smith is blocking nicely. Hawkins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hawkins drops an elbow to the side of Smith's head. Hawkins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well. Smith trying to hold on to Hawkins's head to control him but Hawkins postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hawkins is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Smith has managed to free his arm - good work. Smith pushes Hawkins off looking to stand but Hawkins dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wm Hawkins dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt. Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hawkins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hawkins swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hawkins gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Smith counters by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hawkins.
Hawkins has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Smith is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wm Hawkins. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Smith tries to circle away but Hawkins has him pinned against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Smith can't fight it off and eventually Hawkins manages to take the fight to the floor. Smith looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Smith wants to stand and escape but Hawkins is having none of it. Smith has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Hawkins off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Hawkins misses with a takedown and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Wm Hawkins has been cut. Hawkins throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and Hawkins finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hawkins postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Smith is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hawkins, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hawkins looking for a sweep. Not yet Hawkins, not yet. Hawkins trying to keep a closed guard but Smith is proving a slippery customer.
Hawkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Smith trying to control but Hawkins is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith throws a big elbow that misses. Smith is looking to pass into half guard but Hawkins pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hawkins is in guard. Smith looking to control.
Hawkins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hawkins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smith works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hawkins throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Smith is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Smith wants to stand up but Hawkins is controlling him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Smith tests Hawkins's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hawkins gets a double leg takedown into Smith's guard. Wm Hawkins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hawkins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hawkins postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Wm Hawkins will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Wm Hawkins's cut. That's time! Hawkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Hawkins misses with a takedown and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hawkins has his takedown stuffed and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Smith pulls guard. Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hawkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Smith wants to stand up but Hawkins is controlling him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hawkins throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hawkins working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Smith throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hawkins escapes and throws Smith's legs to the side, diving into side control! Hawkins lands some shots froms side control. Smith dodges the ground and pound from Hawkins. Hawkins swings around for an armbar but Smith sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hawkins's guard. Smith would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hawkins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawkins throws a big right hand that misses. Hawkins throwing strikes but missing. Hawkins scoring with some ground and pound. Smith is trying to keep Hawkins in close.
Hawkins has gone for a leg lock! Smith slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hawkins's guard. Smith would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkins keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. Hawkins working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Smith. Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Hawkins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hawkins wants to stand but Smith has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hawkins scoring with punches to the head and body. Smith wants to control but Hawkins passes easily into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hawkins is looking for a kimura here.
Smith tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Smith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hawkins's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hawkins's back! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hawkins wants to escape the position.
Frank Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wm Hawkins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Smith is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Frank Smith. I think Hawkins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
