Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Gibiatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes has chosen Black and Yellow - Wiz Khalifa as his entrance music. Jamie Reyes will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Frank Gibiatti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamie Reyes!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Gibiatti misses.

Gibiatti throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gibiatti swings for the body but Reyes moves out of range.

Gibiatti shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reyes but Reyes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gibiatti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gibiatti's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Reyes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gibiatti scrambles back to his feet.

Gibiatti shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gibiatti showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Reyes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gibiatti's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gibiatti's back!

I was talking to Gibiatti's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Reyes is trying to push Gibiatti away but Gibiatti has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Reyes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gibiatti stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Frank Gibiatti decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
