Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gary Opdauhl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Sheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Opdauhl has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gary Opdauhl! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Sheck! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Opdauhl misses with a head kick.
Opdauhl connects with a body shot. Opdauhl jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sheck's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Opdauhl connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sheck scrambles back to his feet. Opdauhl lands with a kick to the ribs.
Nice jab there from Opdauhl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sheck uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Opdauhl. Sheck changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Opdauhl takes a swing at Sheck's ribcage but misses. Opdauhl throws a sloppy head kick and Sheck moves out of range easily. And Sheck tries to counter it with a takedown but Opdauhl pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Opdauhl lands a nice looking kick to the body. Sheck takes a step back to recover. Sheck takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Opdauhl misses with a low kick as Sheck jumps back. Opdauhl connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sheck. Sheck circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Gary Opdauhl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Opdauhl throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Opdauhl misses the jab. Sheck drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Opdauhl defends it well. Opdauhl has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Homunculus Alembic in the buildup to the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Opdauhl. Sheck does a little dance to reset his feet. Sheck changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Opdauhl misses with a leg kick and Sheck counters with a shoot takedown. Opdauhl fights it but they end up in guard. Opdauhl keeping moving, preventing Sheck from controlling successfully. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sheck working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Opdauhl pulls Sheck in to control the position. Sheck lands a couple of digs. Sheck in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sheck wants to pass the guard but Opdauhl is keeping the position. Opdauhl is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sheck postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sheck trying to control but Opdauhl is working from the bottom. Opdauhl pulls Sheck in close to prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Opdauhl misses with a shot to the body and Sheck counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Sheck is working for a submission of some sort.
Sheck throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Opdauhl keeping hold of Sheck's head, controlling as best he can. Sheck is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Sheck is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Opdauhl doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sheck. Sheck sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Opdauhl defending well though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sheck is trying to control. Opdauhl wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gary Opdauhl will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nice uppercut there from Opdauhl. Sheck steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Opdauhl. Opdauhl waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sheck. Opdauhl will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A telegraphed right hand from Opdauhl misses the target. Sheck tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A decent looking body kick lands there for Opdauhl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick misses from Opdauhl. Opdauhl throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sheck sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Opdauhl fails to land with a series of punches.
Sheck with the counter takedown but Opdauhl avoids it easily. Nice shot by Opdauhl. Opdauhl scores with a shot to the body.
Sheck has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Opdauhl. Sheck uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Opdauhl.
Opdauhl tries to bum rush Sheck with a series of wild strikes but Sheck uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Opdauhl lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Opdauhl throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sheck counters with a takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sheck throws a strike aimed at the side of Opdauhl's head but Opdauhl avoids it well. Sheck is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Opdauhl looks calm but he's in trouble here. Sheck gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Opdauhl is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Sheck lets go of the hold and Opdauhl can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Roger Sheck! A relieved looking Roger Sheck thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
