The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart tries to clinch but Alcantara moves away
and Alcantara counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hart wants to stand up but Alcantara is controlling him.
Alcantara drops back looking for a leg! Hart is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hart manages to kick Alcantara off! Alcantara jumps back into Hart's guard.
Alcantara sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hart's guard.
Alcantara has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Alcantara content just to control the position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hart tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alcantara cracks Hart with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hart can do anything to dispel that myth.

Alcantara looking to finish Hart with some ground and pound. This is bad for Hart!
The referee warns Hart that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Alcantara is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hart to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hart shrugs it off.

Alcantara is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hart is surviving well by controlling Alcantara's body position as best he can.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hart tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Alcantara lands a couple of good shots and Hart has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Alcantara is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Alcantara has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hart is defending well but eventually Alcantara manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hart has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
