Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Doug Pattersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryuu Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattersson comes into the arena with The Banana song Peel Banana blaring out of the sound system. Ryuu Masaru acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattersson fails to land the takedown.
A punch combination from Masaru misses.
Masaru doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Pattersson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Pattersson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pattersson misses with a wild body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pattersson.
Pattersson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Masaru keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Pattersson slips a nice elbow through Masaru's hands, connecting with Masaru's forehead.

Masaru is not content to let Pattersson control the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Masaru trying to get back to full guard but Pattersson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Masaru tries to hold on but Pattersson pushes him away.
Pattersson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Masaru holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Pattersson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Pattersson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Pattersson looking to control but Masaru is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Masaru tries to hold on but Pattersson pushes him away.

Masaru in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Masaru looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Pattersson scoring with strikes but Masaru is staying in there.
Pattersson wants to control the pace but Masaru is squirming around nicely.
Masaru avoids a series of strikes thrown by Pattersson.
Masaru is bucking up trying to escape but Pattersson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pattersson looking to finish Masaru with some ground and pound. This is bad for Masaru!
Masaru is rocked!
Pattersson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Masaru is still in real trouble! Can Pattersson finish him?
Pattersson postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Masaru badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Pattersson around the waist but Pattersson pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Pattersson is the winner by TKO! Pattersson jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
