1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Deal! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deal lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rojas keeps the fight on the outside. Deal doesn't manage to clinch there - Rojas circles away.
Rojas rushes Deal and presses him up against the cage. Deal avoiding damage as Rojas throws knees to the body.
Rojas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Deal uses from the top position. Rojas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Deal is aware though and is defending well. Rojas keeping full guard, as Deal tries to pass. Rojas trying to control the position here. Rojas was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Deal is defended easily by Rojas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Deal fails in his attempt to clinch. Some wild striking there from Rojas.
Rojas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Deal fails with an attempt to clinch.

Rojas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Deal, up you get! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Deal tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rojas manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rojas breaks from the clinch.

Rojas swats away the attempt to clinch by Deal. Rojas wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Rojas manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Deal on his heels. He'll look to pass Deal's guard now, I'm sure. Deal is breathing heavily. Rojas stands and steps away. Deal moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Rojas shoots in and bounces Deal off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rojas is in close to Deal's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Rojas throws a big counter combination but Deal scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Rojas creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Deal is trying to push Rojas away but Rojas has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Rojas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Deal can do to turn this around? Rojas lands a body shot in the clinch.
Bobby Deal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rojas pulls guard successfully.

And that's the end of the fight! Arnoldo Rojas showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rojas, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
