Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ingemar Anders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeru Masaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anders comes to the cage accompanied by Gods Son. Masaru is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Naked And Famous - Young Blood. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Ingemar Anders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeru Masaru! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masaru looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Anders! Masaru tries to move into full mount but can't pass Anders's legs. Masaru working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Masaru wants to control but Anders is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Masaru tries to advance to mount but can't. Masaru is trying to get an arm triangle but Anders is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anders wants to control but Masaru postures up. Masaru wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anders keeps working. Masaru slows the pace down. Masaru tries to move into full mount but can't pass Anders's legs. Masaru is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Anders's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Masaru is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anders is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Masaru is trying to land an Americana. That's three minutes gone in the round. Anders wants to control but Masaru postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Anders throws a leg kick that is checked and Masaru counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Masaru misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Anders tried to counter with a leg kick but Masaru avoided it. A bone on bone clash there as Anders blocks the leg kick.
Masaru throws a push kick but Anders slaps the foot to one side. It looked like Anders wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Masaru throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Masaru connects with a solid leg kick. Masaru's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Anders connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Masaru scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anders uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Masaru.
Masaru turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Anders checks a leg kick. Masaru fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Anders manages to avoid it. Anders dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Anders, right into the meat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Anders ducks under a wild hook from Masaru. Anders is looking to counter punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takeru Masaru dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Masaru is looking to score with low kicks. Anders appears to be looking for a big counter. Masaru fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anders sprawls well initially but Masaru persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Masaru is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Anders reverses the position - he's now on top in Masaru's guard. Masaru is controlling Anders's posture. Masaru has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anders loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Masaru is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Masaru is taking a breather. Anders says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anders tries to roll over but Masaru keeps him under control. Masaru wants to free his trapped foot but Anders is holding on for dear life with his legs. Masaru is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Masaru is working for a kimura but Anders is defending it quite comfortably.
Anders won't allow Masaru to pass to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Masaru is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Anders! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Masaru takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Anders tries to hold on but Masaru postures up. Masaru can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Anders is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anders wants to control but Masaru is having none of it. Anders is desperately trying to improve his position but Masaru has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Anders prevents Masaru from taking his back. Masaru moves to the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anders defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Masaru's arms. Masaru is hanging on to Anders's back as he tries to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Masaru looking for the choke but no joy. Anders can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Takeru Masaru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Masaru dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Masaru connects with a leg kick. Anders looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Masaru feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Anders is pulling down on Masaru's head. It's preventing any offense from Masaru, at least for the moment. Masaru passes into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Masaru is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Masaru trying to mount his opponent but Anders defends it. Anders is looking to control Masaru's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Anders avoid being mounted? Masaru prevents Anders from improving his position. Masaru is looking to take a break and control but Anders is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Still in half guard, Masaru seems content to control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Anders is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Masaru jumps into side control! Masaru advances to mount. Anders can't escape the position.
Masaru sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Anders has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Takeru Masaru has got the better of the ground game so far. Anders wants to control from the top but Masaru keeps moving. Anders drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Masaru manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Anders has Masaru in his guard. Anders trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anders keeping moving, preventing Masaru from controlling successfully. Masaru might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anders haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Anders is pulling down on Masaru's head to control his posture. Masaru pushes down on Anders's leg and manages to get into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Masaru trying to control the action but Anders is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Takeru Masaru comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Masaru has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
