Man tries to clinch up but Maia circles away and keeps his distance.
Man tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maia lands a jab to the head.
Man looks to land a combination but Maia avoids it well.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Maia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horrible takedown by Maia or perhaps it was just good defense by Man which made him look bad.
Man doesn't manage to clinch there - Maia circles away.
Jab, jab by Maia - just one landing.
Man throws a low kick but Maia avoids it.

Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Maia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Man's guard.

Maiais looking to pass into half guard but Man pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Man is in guard.
Maia is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Man is refusing to be controlled, as Maia sits in half guard.
Maia working over Man with some ground and pound. Man looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Man has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Maia is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Maia is taking a breather. Man says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Maia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Maia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Man is just riding it out for now. Maia eventually gives up the hold.

Maia closes the distance and clinches up with Man, looking for a takedown. Maia pushes Man against the cage but Man circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Maia looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Man! This one is all over!
