Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Back Then. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Gonzalez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Jones! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Gonzalez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A left and a right from Jones both land. Nice combination. Jones jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Gonzalez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones. Gonzalez attempts a counter takedown but Jones avoids it well and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Jones connects with a looping right hand.
Gonzalez scores with a body shot.
Jones misses with a two punch combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones unleashes a big counter combination but Gonzalez bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Jones tries to bum rush Gonzalez with a series of wild strikes but Gonzalez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gonzalez changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Gonzalez closes the distance and clinches. Jones working hard to break the clinch. Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gonzalez avoids a punch combination nicely.
As Jones tries to get set, Gonzalez tries to push him back and clinch up but Jones manages to avoid the attempt. Gonzalez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Gonzalez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez lands with a kick to the ribs.
Gonzalez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Gonzalez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Jones throws a nice looking combination but Gonzalez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones looks to land a combination but Gonzalez avoids it well. Gonzalez attempts a counter takedown but Jones avoids it well and moves away. A combination from Jones does no damage. Gonzalez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gonzalez misses with a body kick. Jones takes a swing at Gonzalez's ribcage but misses. Gonzalez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Gonzalez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away. Gonzalez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gonzalez feinted with a counter takedown. Mike Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gonzalez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gonzalez somewhat. Jones connects with a right hand. Gonzalez shakes it off. Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Mike Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Jones dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gonzalez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gonzalez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Gonzalez ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mike Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jab by Jones. Gonzalez drives through with a takedown into Jones's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Gonzalez working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Gonzalez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gonzalez engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Jones wants to stand but Gonzalez is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gonzalez is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Gonzalez passes into half guard.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gonzalez thows a huge punch but Jones dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gonzalez wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Gonzalez is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gonzalez seems to be looking for submissions.
Gonzalez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Jones is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
