21 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ruud Gullit! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Honza Kucera! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kucera throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Ruud Gullit has been cut. Gullit avoids the head kick by Kucera.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Kucera lands a head kick!
Kucera tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kucera throws a front kick that sends Gullit stumbling back into the cage. Kucera has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gullit is landing a low percentage of strikes. Kucera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gullit circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gullit lands with a nice combination. Kucera backs away looking to recover. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kucera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gullit tries to avoid it but Kucera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gullit to the ground. Gullit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
