Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Lindsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eysteinn Thornsteisson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eysteinn Thornsteisson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Clifford Lindsey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eysteinn Thornsteisson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thornsteisson tries to close the distance and clinch but Lindsey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. As Thornsteisson tries to get set, Lindsey tries to push him back and clinch up but Thornsteisson manages to avoid the attempt. Lindsey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Thornsteisson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Thornsteisson. Lindsey can't break the clinch.
Thornsteisson gets a trip takedown into half guard. Lindsey has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thornsteisson is working away from the top position though. Lindsey is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lindsey is working hard here to advance position. Lindsey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lindsey wants to control but Thornsteisson is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Thornsteisson is trying to control. Lindsey wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Well, if Thornsteisson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Lindsey controlling the position for now. Thornsteisson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Lindsey tries to roll over but Thornsteisson keeps him under control. Lindsey trying to control but Thornsteisson postures up.
Thornsteisson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lindsey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lindsey wants to improve his position but Thornsteisson is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lindsey makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lindsey. Thornsteisson throws a big elbow that misses. Thornsteisson wants to get up but he can't break Lindsey's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Thornsteisson slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Lindsey. Lindsey wants to get back to full guard. Lindsey is refusing to be controlled, as Thornsteisson sits in half guard. Thornsteisson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Thornsteisson is thwarting Lindsey's attempts to control the position. Thornsteisson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lindsey trying to hold on to Thornsteisson's head to control him but Thornsteisson postures up.
Lindsey blocking the ground and pound attempt from Thornsteisson. Thornsteisson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. It looks like Thornsteisson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Lindsey moves in looking to clinch but Thornsteisson pushes him off. Thornsteisson with the counter takedown but Lindsey avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Thornsteisson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Lindsey to the ground. Thornsteisson is now in Lindsey's guard. Thornsteisson preventing the sweep. Lindsey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thornsteisson defends well. Thornsteisson trying to control but Lindsey is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lindsey trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Thornsteisson trying to control but Lindsey is working from the bottom. Thornsteisson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Thornsteisson won't allow Lindsey to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eysteinn Thornsteisson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Thornsteisson throws a head kick but Lindsey moves out of range.
Thornsteisson tries to clinch but Lindsey is having none of it. Lindsey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thornsteisson avoids it really well and circles away. Thornsteisson stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lindsey goes for a double leg but Thornsteisson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Thornsteisson continues to drive forward. Despite the aggression on Thornsteisson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifford Lindsey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lindsey tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Thornsteisson defends well and Lindsey ends up having to push Thornsteisson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Thornsteisson tries to counter with a clinch but Lindsey shakes him off and moves away. Lindsey misses with a takedown attempt - Thornsteisson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thornsteisson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Thornsteisson content to stall in guard here. Thornsteisson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lindsey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thornsteisson has managed to get both his arms back between Lindsey's legs - danger averted. Thornsteisson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lindsey has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Thornsteisson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Thornsteisson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Thornsteisson throws a big right hand that misses. Thornsteisson showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Thornsteisson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Thornsteisson throws a head kick but Lindsey moves out of range.
Lindsey is looking to counter the offense by Thornsteisson and move into the clinch. Thornsteisson gets the takedown into side control. The strikes coming from Thornsteisson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Thornsteisson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. That's four minutes gone in the round. Lindsey trying to remain calm as Thornsteisson controls from the top position. Lindsey struggling a bit here. Lindsey tries to improve position but can't. Thornsteisson takes a little break here. Lindsey wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Lindsey is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Thornsteisson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Still in half guard, Thornsteisson seems content to control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Eysteinn Thornsteisson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Thornsteisson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lindsey, pushing him back against the cage. Lindsey wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Thornsteisson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Thornsteisson manages to end up in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thornsteisson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Lindsey will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Lindsey is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Thornsteisson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Thornsteisson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Thornsteisson is trying to control the action in half guard but Lindsey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lindsey is looking to improve his position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lindsey trying to control the position here. Thornsteisson trying to control the position from guard on top but Lindsey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thornsteisson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Clifford Lindsey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Eysteinn Thornsteisson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Eysteinn Thornsteisson has got the better of the ground game so far. Lindsey throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Eysteinn Thornsteisson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Thornsteisson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
