Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelly French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Feddersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sven Feddersen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sven Feddersen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Feddersen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. French sprawls well initially but Feddersen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
French has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Feddersen is working away from the top position though.
Feddersen prevents French from standing back up.
French is looking to improve his position.
It looks like Feddersen is going to stand back up.
French is trying is best to control the position here.
Feddersen is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

French is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Feddersen pulls his head out easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Feddersen wants to stand but French has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Feddersen leaves French with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

French will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Feddersen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

French has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Feddersen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
French has momentary wrist control but Feddersen slips an elbow through the middle.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Feddersen. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Feddersen rolls with it to try and escape but French cranks on the arm and Feddersen is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
