Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christoph Lindemann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Joe Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ward has chosen Aint nobody got time for dat as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christoph Lindemann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Joe Ward! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ward comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Lindemann lands a high kick!
Lindemann tries to sprawl but Ward drives through with a takedown into half guard. Ward content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lindemann blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ward. Ward thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ward perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ward takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ward thows a huge punch but Lindemann dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lindemann avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ward. Ward has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Midnight MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Ward frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ward controlling his opponent. Lindemann wants to hold on but Ward pushes him away. The referee warns Lindemann that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
It looks like Christoph Lindemann has been cut. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ward cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lindemann is rocked!
Christoph Lindemann's cut is getting worse. Ward softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Lindemann is out cold! Ward jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Joe Ward! John Joe Ward decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
