Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jambo Jambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saan Shlamel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jambo Jambo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Saan Shlamel!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Shlamel lands.
Jambo throws a head kick that misses.
Shlamel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Jambo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jambo passes into half guard.
Jambo trying to mount his opponent but Shlamel defends it.
Jambo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Shlamel!

Jambo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shlamel is looking to escape.
Jambo throwing strikes here but Shlamel is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Jambo wants to control the pace but Shlamel is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jambo moves to back control.

Jambo is looking for the choke from the back position but Shlamel is controlling his hands well.
Jambo lands punches and elbows.

Shlamel is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Jambo off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Shlamel is trying to break free.
Jambo lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Jambo has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Shlamel has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jambo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Shlamel knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Shlamel for a finish.

Jambo is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Shlamel has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Jambo is cranking Shlamel's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Shlamel! He's tightened the choke and Shlamel is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jambo Jambo!
A determined Jambo Jambo didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
