Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Canela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Claude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gilbert Canela!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jean Claude!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canela keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Canela tries a head kick but it misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Claude! But no joy.
Claude dives in for a single leg takedown but Canela sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Claude tries to close the distance and clinch but Canela swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Claude shoots in for a double leg but Canela sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gilbert Canela has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Claude.
Claude takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Claude fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Claude shoots in but Canela avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Canela fails with the takedown
and Claude counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Claude blocks the strikes from Canela.
Claude is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Claude throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Canela gets back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Claude wanted to stand there but Canela had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Canela wants to stand but Claude is controlling the position.
Claude content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Claude preventing the sweep.
Claude drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Claude as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Canela screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Claude! Nice submission victory there!
