Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lorenzo Lamel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kukulcan Tonga!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tonga breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tonga throws a right and a left that Lamel avoids nicely.
Lamel lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Lamel looks to score with a jab to the body but Tonga is just out of range.
Lamel connects with a right hand. Tonga shakes it off.
Lamel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tonga counters with a good low kick that Lamel was not able to check.
A clash of legs there as Tonga blocks the low kick.
Lamel throws out a loose jab but Tonga uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lamel misses the jab.
Lamel misses with a combination
and Tonga counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tonga dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lamel. That did some damage!
A swing and a miss from Tonga.
Lamel lands the left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lamel falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tonga counters with a left to the body.

Crunch! Tonga slams his shin into Lamel's torso.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lamel, right into the meat.
Lorenzo Lamel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lamel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tonga feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lamel's calf.
Tonga lands with a kick to the ribs.
Tonga throws a series of punches but Lamel avoids them all with ease.
Lamel misses with a double jab
and Lamel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lorenzo Lamel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tonga dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lamel. That did some damage!
Lamel lands the left hand.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tonga. That's going to slow Lamel down.
Tonga tries a head kick but it misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lamel fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tonga.
Tonga keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Tonga throws a hook but Lamel avoids it easily.
Lamel throwing a counter right hand but Tonga manages to avoid it.
Lamel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tonga.
Tonga feints the counter takedown.
Tonga lands with a kick to the ribs.
Lamel scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Tonga scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A chopping leg kick lands by Tonga.
Lamel throws a nice looking combination but Tonga bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tonga throws out a counter right but Lamel avoids it with no problem.
Tonga misses with a takedown attempt - Lamel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lamel connects with a crisp jab.
Lamel moves out of range of the body kick from Tonga.
Tonga tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lamel is looking to counter punch.
Lamel walks into a straight right hand from Tonga.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lamel throws an overhand right that lands on Tonga's shoulder, as Tonga tries to avoid the shot.
As Lamel backs off Tonga throws a huge counter combo but Lamel manages to avoid it all.
Tonga thumps Lamel with a low kick.
Tonga dives in and grabs Lamel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lamel pushes down on Tonga's head and hops out.
Tonga lands a jab to the head.
Tonga takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A jab from Tonga finds it's way through Lamel's defenses.
Lamel is rocked!
Look low, kick high! Tonga uses the oldest trick in the book to send Lamel tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Tonga is absolutely delighted - when Lamel wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kukulcan Tonga!
A relieved looking Kukulcan Tonga thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
