The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Neal 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Sloppy strikes from Darko. Those never looked like landing.
Darko leaves Neal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Darko is looking for the big counter here.
Darko misses with a series of wild punches.
Neal shoots in and drives through. Darko sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neal decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Neal decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Darko swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Darko cracks Neal with an open hand slap.
Neal shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Darko sprawls well. Darko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Neal gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Neal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Darko fails to land with a series of punches.
Neal goes for a double leg but Darko avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Darko continues to drive forward.
Darko pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Neal back to the cage. Darko follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Neal with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Darko to score with a decent uppercut.
Neal misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Darko is looking for the big counter here.
Ivan Darko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Neal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Darko tries to avoid it but Neal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Darko to the ground. Darko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Darko lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Darko.

Neal is rocked!
