Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sang Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikki Parlsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sang Burns has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sang Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nikki Parlsh! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns misses with a straight right. Parlsh gets a double leg takedown into Burns's guard. Parlsh tries to free his leg and advance position but Burns is retaining full guard. Parlsh would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Burns is trying to keep Parlsh in close.
Burns wants to stand but Parlsh is controlling the position. Parlsh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parlsh accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Burns striking off his back but it's not causing Parlsh any problems. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Parlsh trying to stand up but can't free himself from Burns's guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Burns will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parlsh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Parlsh fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Burns defending against the ground and pound. Parlsh tries to stand but Burns is controlling his head. Parlsh swings around for an armbar but Burns sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Parlsh's guard. Parlsh working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Burns. Parlsh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Burns really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Burns prevents Parlsh from getting back to his feet. Burns trying to stand up but can't free himself from Parlsh's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns gets to his feet - Parlsh follows without any prompting. Parlsh throws a lazy head kick and Burns counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Burns. A short right hand to the side of the head by Parlsh. Parlsh is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Parlsh lands a right hand that snaps the head of Burns backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parlsh manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Parlsh lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Burns is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Parlsh is defending well for now. Burns takes a knee to the side of the body. Parlsh with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Parlsh softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Parlsh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Parlsh clinches with his opponent.
Parlsh lands an elbow inside. Parlsh landing knees to the body.
Parlsh tries to land a knee to the head but Burns blocks with his arms.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parlsh softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Parlsh. Burns throws a head punch that misses. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Burns can't find room to land a body shot as Parlsh controls the action.
The referee calls for Parlsh to work.
Parlsh working Burns over with knees to the body. Parlsh looks winded! Burns tries to pull guard but Parlsh forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Parlsh is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Parlsh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Burns breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Burns gets tackled into the cage by Parlsh. Parlsh maintains the clinch. Parlsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nikki Parlsh dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Burns lands with a good body shot. Burns stuffs the takedown. Burns half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parlsh. Parlsh clinches. Burns prevents a body shot from Parlsh. Parlsh lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parlsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Burns shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Parlsh defends it nicely. Parlsh feints the counter takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Parlsh's head. Burns uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Parlsh has time to react. Parlsh moves into the clinch successfully.
Burns pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Parlsh lands with a short head shot on the inside. Parlsh lands a hook to the side of the head. Burns tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Parlsh smiles and moves away.
Burns gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns looking for a sweep. Not yet Burns, not yet. Burns working a defensive guard here.
Burns striking from his own guard. Burns lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Burns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Parlsh's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burns wants to stand but Parlsh is controlling his posture from full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parlsh manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parlsh drives through and clinches with Burns against the cage.
Parlsh working some nice short punches in the clinch. Parlsh lands a hook that snaps the head of Burns backwards. Parlsh stalling against the cage.
Burns misses with a hook to the ribs.
Parlsh manages to break the clinch.
Parlsh moves into the clinch successfully.
Nikki Parlsh seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Burns jumps guard but Parlsh stands there with Burns around his waist. Burns gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sang Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burns is trying to maintain a safe position but Parlsh gets an underhook and turns Burns into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parlsh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Parlsh moves into the clinch. Burns is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Parlsh is defending well for now. A short right from Parlsh. Burns tries to stall but Parlsh uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Burns takes an elbow to the temple. Oh Burns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A nice left hand lands by Parlsh.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Parlsh comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Parlsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Nikki Parlsh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

It looks like Sang Burns has been cut. Parlsh has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Parlsh tries a knee to the head but Burns blocks it.

Parlsh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burns was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. A head kick misses from Parlsh. Burns tries to close the distance and clinch but Parlsh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nikki Parlsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parlsh misses with the body kick and Burns counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Parlsh thinking. Burns tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Parlsh swivels and escapes. Parlsh throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Burns stumbling backwards into the cage! Burns bounces back off the cage towards Parlsh, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Parlsh lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Parlsh celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
