Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Greg Todd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh Meade!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meade fails to land with a series of punches.
Todd tries to score with a low kick but Meade moves his leg out of the way.
Meade is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Todd with a body shot.
Meade displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Meade scores with a nice head shot.
Meade misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Todd throws a big counter combination but Meade scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Todd seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Todd misses with a combination
and Meade counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Meade misses with a series of wild punches.
Todd looking to score a takedown here. Meade is defending well but Todd drives through and ends up in Meade's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Todd wants to pass the guard but Meade is keeping the position.
Todd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Meade on the ground.
Todd won't allow Meade to get back to his feet.
Meade looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Meade has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Todd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Todd throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Meade works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Todd avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Meade is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meade throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Meade looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Meade is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Meade is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Todd presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Meade stops a takedown attempt from Todd.
Todd swings wildly with an uppercut but Meade uses good head movement to avoid it.
Meade tries to break free but Todd pushes him back against the cage.
Todd breaks the clinch.
Todd tries to move into range but Meade moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Oooooh!!! Meade has knocked Todd down with a huge combo! Meade steps away and waves a wobbly Todd back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Greg Todd has been cut.
Meade lands a big uppercut and Todd crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Todd looks OK. Meade waves Todd back to his feet!
Todd is rocked!
BAM! Meade delivers a spinning backfist that drops Todd like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
