Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaino Heikkinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Kruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruiz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ZARILA KANDZE. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Kruiz!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heikkinen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kruiz swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kruiz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Heikkinen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Heikkinen wants to stand but Kruiz is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Kruiz is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Heikkinen won't allow Kruiz to sweep him here.
Kruiz pulls Heikkinen in close to his closed guard and prevents Heikkinen from doing any damage or advancing position.
Kruiz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Heikkinen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Heikkinen tries to get out of the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kruiz thows a huge punch but Heikkinen dodges it nicely.

Kruiz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Heikkinen sees it coming and defends easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Heikkinen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kruiz is working away from the top position though.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Heikkinen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kruiz. That did some damage!

Heikkinen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kruiz has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Kruiz jumps guard and drags Heikkinen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kruiz lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Kruiz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kruiz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kruiz is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Heikkinen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Heikkinen has escaped and now he's on top!

Kruiz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Heikkinen is aware though and is defending well.
