Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Tricksen!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin closes the distance and pushes Tricksen back into the cage.
Griffin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tricksens head.
Griffin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tricksen backwards.
Griffin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Griffin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Griffin.
Griffin works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Griffin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tricksen clinches up with Griffin and pushes him back against the cage.

Griffin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Griffin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Griffin sizes up Tricksen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Griffin swings wildly with an uppercut but Tricksen uses good head movement to avoid it.

We've been informed that Tricksen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

and Griffin counters with a stiff right hand.
Griffin lands with a nice body punch.
Tricksen looks to land a combination but Griffin avoids it well.
Tricksen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Griffin moves away from the strike by Tricksen.
Griffin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tricksen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Griffin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Griffin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Griffin tries to keep at a distance but Tricksen has taken the fight into the clinch.

and Griffin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tricksen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Tricksen in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
